The installation includes 108 solar panels, three inverters, a 135 kWh battery bank and a 9 kW backup generator. Three individual heat substations were also installed, delivering more even heat distribution and cutting the buildings&#8217; heating consumption by at least 20 per cent.<\/p>\n<p>The retrofit went beyond energy systems: all six elevators were replaced, windows and doors were renewed, internal utilities were overhauled, and motion-sensor lighting was fitted in shared spaces. Mayor Vitaly Klitschko noted that the project combined on-site generation, battery storage and energy-efficient technologies to achieve the result.<\/p>\n<p>Roughly 70 per cent of the total cost was covered by municipal funds or grants under state programmes.
