At the same time, the destruction of a large number of relatively low-capacity power plants and energy storage facilities is a much more difficult task than the destruction of a relatively limited number of thermal power plants and hydroelectric power plants of significant capacity, which will minimize power losses in the integrated energy system of Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p>Among other things, the document provides a list of types of distributed generation facilities.<\/p>\n<p>The facilities that use natural gas as a fuel include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>gas turbine unit;<\/li>\n<li>gas piston unit;<\/li>\n<li>cogeneration unit.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The use of renewable gases, in particular biomethane, as a fuel instead of natural gas in the future will allow classifying electricity production at gas piston and gas turbine plants, including cogeneration plants, as electricity production from renewable energy sources, which will contribute to the overall decarbonization of the power system.<\/p>\n<p>Renewable energy facilities include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>wind power plant;<\/li>\n<li>solar power plant;<\/li>\n<li>bioenergy power plant;<\/li>\n<li>small hydroelectric power plant;<\/li>\n<li>energy storage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The documents are available by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kmu.gov.ua\/npas\/pro-skhvalennia-stratehii-rozvytku-rozpodilenoi-heneratsii-na-period-do-2035-roku-i-zatverdzhennia-s713180724\">link<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, the <a href=\"https:\/\/100re.org.ua\/nkrekp-opublikuvala-reyestr-obyektiv-energetyky-ta-ustanovok-shho-vykorystovuyut-alternatyvni-dzherela-energiyi\/\">NEURC published<\/a> the Register of Electricity Facilities and Installations Using Alternative Energy Sources.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, in July 2024, the Verkhovna Rada finally <a href=\"https:\/\/100re.org.ua\/rada-vprovadyla-pilgy-na-vvezennya-v-ukrayinu-energetychnogo-obladnannya\/\">introduced benefits<\/a> for the import of energy equipment into Ukraine. However, the list of preferential categories of equipment did not include installations used in wind generation. Therefore, the Ukrainian Wind Energy Association <a href=\"https:\/\/100re.org.ua\/uvea-zaklykaye-deputativ-polegshyty-vvezennya-v-ukrayinu-obladnannya-dlya-vitrogeneracziyi\/\">calls for support<\/a> of the draft law No. 11455 registered in the Verkhovna Rada, which will resolve the situation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Cabinet of Ministers has published the text of the Strategy for the Development of Distributed Generation until 2035 and an operational plan for its implementation in 2024\u20132026.
