On <\/span>May 13, 2025, <\/span>an <\/span>official <\/span>webinar <\/span>was <\/span>held <\/span>to <\/span>launch <\/span>the <\/span>European <\/span>project <\/span>ANEW-<\/span>LIFE<\/span><\/strong>, <\/span>aimed <\/span>at <\/span>supporting <\/span>the <\/span>restoration <\/span>and <\/span>decarbonization <\/span>of <\/span>Ukraine\u2019s <\/span>energy <\/span>system. <\/span>The <\/span>event <\/span>brought <\/span>together <\/span>over 100 <\/span>representatives <\/span>from <\/span>the <\/span>energy <\/span>sector <\/span>and <\/span>Ukrainian <\/span>communities <\/span>to <\/span>discuss <\/span>the <\/span>challenges <\/span>and <\/span>opportunities <\/span>facing <\/span>cities <\/span>that <\/span>have <\/span>chosen <\/span>the <\/span>path <\/span>toward <\/span>sustainable <\/span>energy. <\/span>The <\/span>webinar <\/span>was <\/span>held <\/span>online <\/span>with <\/span>simultaneous <\/span>interpretation <\/span>in <\/span>Ukrainian <\/span>and <\/span>English.<\/span><\/p>\n

European <\/span>partners<\/span><\/strong> of <\/span>the <\/span>ANEW-<\/span>LIFE <\/span>project <\/span>who <\/span>shared <\/span>their <\/span>experience <\/span>included:<\/span>

The <\/span>webinar <\/span>was <\/span>moderated <\/span>by:<\/span><\/strong>
Oleksii <\/span>Korchmit<\/span><\/strong> (<\/span>Director, <\/span>Global 100% <\/span>RE <\/span>Ukraine) <\/span>and <\/span>Tetyana <\/span>Kramarenko<\/span><\/strong> (<\/span>Project <\/span>Administrator, <\/span>ANEW-<\/span>LIFE).<\/span><\/p>\n

Participants <\/span>discussed <\/span>the <\/span>current <\/span>status <\/span>of <\/span>activities <\/span>in <\/span>the <\/span>three <\/span>pilot <\/span>cities, <\/span>their <\/span>first <\/span>steps, <\/span>and <\/span>early <\/span>achievements. <\/span>A <\/span>key <\/span>focus <\/span>of <\/span>the <\/span>discussion <\/span>was <\/span>the <\/span>exploration <\/span>of <\/span>European <\/span>best <\/span>practices <\/span>in <\/span>implementing <\/span>financial <\/span>instruments <\/span>for <\/span>clean <\/span>energy <\/span>projects.<\/span><\/p>\n

Representatives <\/span>of <\/span>three <\/span>European <\/span>companies \u2014 <\/span>EnerSave <\/span>Capital<\/span><\/strong>, <\/span>Climate <\/span>Alliance \/ <\/span>Klima <\/span>Bundis<\/span><\/strong>, <\/span>and <\/span>FifthVolt <\/span>GmbH<\/span><\/strong> \u2014 <\/span>shared <\/span>practical <\/span>examples <\/span>of <\/span>project <\/span>implementation <\/span>in <\/span>countries <\/span>such <\/span>as <\/span>Italy, <\/span>Austria, <\/span>Germany, <\/span>Romania, <\/span>Belgium, <\/span>and <\/span>others. <\/span>They <\/span>also <\/span>discussed <\/span>current <\/span>challenges <\/span>and <\/span>opportunities <\/span>relevant <\/span>to <\/span>Ukrainian <\/span>communities.<\/span><\/p>\n

Participants <\/span>unanimously <\/span>emphasized <\/span>the <\/span>importance <\/span>of <\/span>adapting <\/span>European <\/span>experience <\/span>to <\/span>the <\/span>Ukrainian <\/span>context, <\/span>especially <\/span>in <\/span>the <\/span>conditions <\/span>of <\/span>wartime, <\/span>and <\/span>recognized <\/span>the <\/span>need <\/span>to <\/span>develop <\/span>a <\/span>national <\/span>policy <\/span>framework <\/span>that <\/span>would <\/span>enable <\/span>similar <\/span>initiatives <\/span>in <\/span>Ukraine.<\/span><\/p>\n
