{"id":4728,"date":"2025-06-12T14:58:46","date_gmt":"2025-06-12T11:58:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/100re.org.ua\/?p=4728"},"modified":"2025-06-12T23:36:45","modified_gmt":"2025-06-12T20:36:45","slug":"record-investments-in-clean-energy-iea-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/100re.org.ua\/en\/record-investments-in-clean-energy-iea-report\/","title":{"rendered":"Record Investments in Clean Energy \u2014 IEA Report"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In 2025, global energy investments are projected to reach a record high of $3.3 trillion, according to a new report from the International Energy Agency (IEA).<br \/>\nMore than $2.2 trillion of this total will be directed toward the development of clean energy \u2014 including renewables, power grids, energy storage, nuclear power, energy efficiency, and low-carbon fuels.<\/p>\n<p>These record investments in clean energy now more than double the total spent on fossil fuels, marking a structural shift toward sustainable energy development.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_4726\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-4726\" style=\"width: 707px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-4726\" src=\"https:\/\/100re.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/solar_power.jpeg\" alt=\"Energy\" width=\"707\" height=\"471\" srcset=\"https:\/\/100re.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/solar_power.jpeg 707w, https:\/\/100re.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/solar_power-300x200.jpeg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 707px) 100vw, 707px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-4726\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Energy<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Key figures:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>$1.5 trillion will be invested in the electricity sector overall, with $450 billion allocated specifically to solar energy.<\/li>\n<li>Investments in power grids are expected to hit a record $400 billion, though this still falls short of projected demand.<\/li>\n<li>Spending on oil and gas is set to decline by 4%, down to approximately $570 billion, with upstream oil investment decreasing by 6%.<\/li>\n<li>Coal-related investments will continue to grow, albeit more slowly \u2014 around 4%, mostly in China and India.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Regional outlook:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The report highlights growing regional disparities.<\/p>\n<p>China remains the global leader in clean energy investment, while the United States is expected to see investment levels stabilize due to reductions in federal support.<\/p>\n<p><strong>IEA commentary:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cClean energy today is not only a climate imperative, but also an issue of economic rationale and energy security.
