Our partner, the Ukrainian Wind Energy Association (UWEA)<\/a>, has announced a new contract between two of its member companies \u2014 Elementum Energy<\/a> and CEMARK<\/a> \u2014 aimed at stabilizing electricity prices. This is another step in the development of financial instruments for the renewable energy sector in Ukraine.<\/p>\n

As of 1 June 2025, a one-year corporate power purchase agreement (cPPA) has taken effect between the Dniester Wind Power Plant, operated by Elementum Energy, and one of the cement plants of the CEMARK group.<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The agreement is based on a Contract for Difference (CfD) mechanism. The parties agreed on a price corridor, meaning that if the market price exceeds the upper limit, the producer compensates the consumer, and if it falls below the lower limit, the consumer compensates the producer.<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

This is the second such agreement signed by Elementum Energy and serves as an example of how CfD-based mechanisms \u2014 widely used across the EU \u2014 are beginning to enter the Ukrainian renewable energy market, supporting both generators and industrial consumers of green electricity.<\/p>\n

UWEA welcomed the signing of this agreement as a practical example of cooperation between a renewable energy producer and a responsible industrial consumer.<\/p>\n
