On June 25\u201326, 2025, Kyiv hosted CISOLAR 2025, the 14th International Conference and Trade Show of Solar Energy in Central and Eastern Europe.<\/strong> The event brought together investors, policymakers, technology developers, and financial institutions to discuss the future of renewable energy in the region.<\/p>\n

The Solar Energy Association of Ukraine (ASEU) \u2014 a member of the Global 100% RE network \u2014 acted as the general partner of the event.<\/p>\n

Key Contributions from ASEU at CISOLAR 2025:<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Vladyslav Sokolovskyi, Chair of ASEU,<\/strong> spoke at the panel on \u201cUkraine\u2019s Energy Resilience: Challenges, Legislation, and Technology.\u201d He highlighted agrovoltaics, self-consumption, and energy storage systems as critical tools for achieving energy security. He emphasized the importance of removing VAT and customs duties and reducing technology costs to support business and community-level energy independence.
\nIvan Balytskyi, Chair of ASEU\u2019s Legal Committee,<\/strong> moderated the session \u201cInvestments in Renewable Energy Projects.\u201d He discussed the transition from fixed feed-in tariffs to market-based mechanisms such as net billing, corporate self-consumption, wholesale market sales, and green auctions, now enabled by the recently adopted \u201cGreen Transformation\u201d law.
\nYurii Favorskyi, Board Member of ASEU,<\/strong> moderated the session \u201cTechnologies, Digital Energy, and Innovation.\u201d He stressed that digital energy solutions, including smart metering and AI\/ML-based energy management, are already essential for modern energy systems.<\/p>\n
