With a combined storage capacity of 400 MWh, they can supply electricity to around 600,000 households for two hours. The installations will enhance the flexibility and resilience of Ukraine\u2019s power system, reduce blackout risks, and compensate for the loss of maneuverable capacities destroyed by Russian attacks.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Construction lasted only six months \u2014 from March to August 2025 \u2014 nearly twice as fast as standard timelines for such projects. Total investment amounted to \u20ac125 million.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Ukraine\u2019s Minister of Energy, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/share\/p\/1FRxEh9eB4\/\">Svitlana Hrynchuk<\/a>, emphasized that storage systems have become as fundamental as generation itself: \u201cEvery new megawatt of storage acts as a shield for the power system, meaning greater safety for Ukrainians and fewer blackout risks.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/dtek.com\/media-center\/news\/dtek-and-fluence-energise-the-largest-battery-storage-facility-in-ukraine-with-a-total-capacity-of-200-mw\/?fbclid=IwY2xjawMvUrxleHRuA2FlbQIxMABicmlkETF6YlhFYkFpQzdXMWg0TWR2AR4bMICYWnThWSlABnZUXwzmqlNQ2EDfb35b0sKhvT3EMmnvb9COlmoJv7q3sA_aem_kDH7gSveOBd02PBFWkWS8g\">DTEK<\/a> CEO Maksym Timchenko called the launch a historic milestone that will shape the development of the energy system for years to come. He stressed that cooperation with Fluence provided access to cutting-edge technologies that make Ukraine\u2019s energy sector more resilient.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Fluence CEO Julian Nebreda highlighted the project as a symbol of resilience and international cooperation: \u201cEven in difficult times, innovation and partnership can pave the way to greater energy security.
