{"id":6858,"date":"2026-03-16T18:16:08","date_gmt":"2026-03-16T16:16:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/100re.org.ua\/?p=6858"},"modified":"2026-03-16T18:19:09","modified_gmt":"2026-03-16T16:19:09","slug":"innovative-biological-hydrogen-methanation-technology-at-a-biogas-complex-a-winning-project-of-the-100-green-award-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/100re.org.ua\/en\/innovative-biological-hydrogen-methanation-technology-at-a-biogas-complex-a-winning-project-of-the-100-green-award-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Innovative Biological Hydrogen Methanation Technology at a Biogas Complex \u2014 a winning project of the 100 gREen AWARD-2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"131\" data-end=\"372\">The project <strong data-start=\"143\" data-end=\"289\">\u201cIndustrial Testing of an Innovative Biological Hydrogen Methanation Technology at the Existing Biogas Complex of Ukrainian Dairy Company LLC\u201d<\/strong> is among the best green transformation projects of 2025 in the field of bioenergy.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_6859\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-6859\" style=\"width: 640px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-6859\" src=\"https:\/\/100re.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/biogaz-angl-1024x538.jpg\" alt=\"Innovative Biological Hydrogen Methanation Technology at a Biogas Complex \u2014 a winning project of the 100 gREen AWARD-2025\" width=\"640\" height=\"336\" srcset=\"https:\/\/100re.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/biogaz-angl-1024x538.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/100re.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/biogaz-angl-300x158.jpg 300w, https:\/\/100re.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/biogaz-angl-768x403.jpg 768w, https:\/\/100re.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/biogaz-angl.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-6859\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Innovative Biological Hydrogen Methanation Technology at a Biogas Complex \u2014 a winning project of the 100 gREen AWARD-2025<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p data-start=\"374\" data-end=\"395\"><strong data-start=\"374\" data-end=\"395\">ABOUT THE PROJECT<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"397\" data-end=\"571\">The technology is being implemented within the framework of the <strong data-start=\"461\" data-end=\"478\">BIOMETHAVERSE<\/strong> project, which is part of the EU\u2019s key research and innovation programme <strong data-start=\"552\" data-end=\"570\">Horizon Europe<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"573\" data-end=\"770\">Its main goal is to expand the range of biomethane production technologies in Europe, make this process more cost-effective, and support the deployment of innovative biomethane production pathways.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"772\" data-end=\"967\"><strong data-start=\"772\" data-end=\"790\">MHP ECO ENERGY<\/strong>, with the support of <strong data-start=\"812\" data-end=\"821\">UABIO<\/strong> and German partners \u2014 <strong data-start=\"844\" data-end=\"890\">Deutsches Biomasseforschungszentrum (DBFZ)<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"895\" data-end=\"918\">Ellmann Engineering<\/strong> \u2014 developed a pilot biological methanation unit.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"969\" data-end=\"1079\">At the beginning of 2025, this unit was transferred to <strong data-start=\"1024\" data-end=\"1055\">Ukrainian Dairy Company LLC<\/strong> for industrial testing.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1081\" data-end=\"1105\"><strong data-start=\"1081\" data-end=\"1105\">ABOUT THE TECHNOLOGY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1107\" data-end=\"1230\">The technology is based on combining <strong data-start=\"1144\" data-end=\"1171\">CO\u2082 contained in biogas<\/strong> with <strong data-start=\"1177\" data-end=\"1199\">renewable hydrogen<\/strong> to increase biomethane output.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1232\" data-end=\"1451\">Industrial testing of the pilot unit by the staff of the biogas complex of <strong data-start=\"1307\" data-end=\"1338\">Ukrainian Dairy Company LLC<\/strong> demonstrated the high efficiency of this innovative technology and confirmed the results of laboratory research.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1453\" data-end=\"1560\">The developed technology corresponds to <strong data-start=\"1493\" data-end=\"1504\">TRL 6\u20137<\/strong>, which means it is ready for large-scale demonstration.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"1562\" data-end=\"1569\" \/>\n<p data-start=\"1571\" data-end=\"1999\">The selection was carried out by the <strong data-start=\"1608\" data-end=\"1643\">Board of Global 100% RE Ukraine<\/strong> \u2014 representatives of \u043f\u0440\u043e\u0444\u0438\u043b\u044c\u043d\u0438\u0445 associations of green energy, including the <strong data-start=\"1720\" data-end=\"1756\">Bioenergy Association of Ukraine<\/strong>.
