Three utility-scale solar developments in North Carolina and Texas are set to receive domestically produced modules under a new supply agreement with Inox Solar Americas, an American manufacturer of solar modules and cells.<\/p>\n
The contract covers projects rated at 71 MW, 102 MW, and 594 MW, with deliveries scheduled to begin in 2027. All three sites will use bifacial Vega-series modules fitted with N-type Galaxion solar cells, offered in single- and dual-glass configurations.<\/p>\n
Ashok Nair, president of Inox Solar Americas, said buyers are evaluating far more than module efficiency. Domestic content requirements, supply-chain transparency, regulatory compliance, and long-term financial reliability have become equally important selection criteria. The company structured its manufacturing footprint to align with US trade and energy policy, a move that carries added weight given findings from PV Tech Research pointing to a growing gap between module and cell production capacity inside the country.<\/p>\n
Inox Solar Americas was founded by the INOXGFL Group. Its parent, Inox Clean Energy, entered the US market in April 2026 by acquiring Boviet Solar for roughly $750 million, securing a North Carolina facility with 3 GW of annual module capacity. A dedicated 3 GW cell production line at the same location is expected to begin operations in 2027, further deepening the company’s domestic manufacturing presence ahead of the projects’ delivery window.<\/p>\n
