The global residential energy storage market is on track to add 46.1 GWh of new capacity this year, according to forecasts from InfoLink Consulting, with Europe remaining a central pillar of demand at an expected 15.4 GWh.<\/p>\n

Within Europe, established markets in Germany, Italy and Austria are holding steady, but Eastern Europe is drawing increasing attention from analysts. Ukraine leads the region’s newcomers and is helping reshape where growth originates across the continent.<\/p>\n

The Asia-Pacific picture is shifting just as quickly. Oceania is rapidly closing the gap with European volumes, a trajectory driven largely by Australia’s Cheaper Home Batteries subsidy scheme, which launched in July 2025. The programme has positioned Australia to rank as the world’s single largest national market for residential storage by the end of 2026.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, persistent grid instability and elevated electricity tariffs in Pakistan and the Philippines are proving to be powerful natural drivers of home battery adoption, independent of government incentives.<\/p>\n

On the supply side, InfoLink’s first-half shipment data placed Fox ESS, Sigenergy and Deye at the top of the vendor rankings. Deye has built particular strength in Ukraine, Poland, Pakistan and South Africa. Despite the podium positions, no manufacturer has pulled decisively ahead: the market remains fragmented, with slim margins separating competitors and leaving the race for leadership genuinely open.<\/p>\n
