The Ukrainian Solar Energy Association (ASEU) will hold an open online committee meeting on 15 October at 11:00, dedicated to the commercial prospects and hands-on deployment experience of battery energy storage systems (BESS).

The session will run as an open Zoom conference conducted in Ukrainian. It is specifically intended for energy companies, investors, project developers, BESS operators, and manufacturers of specialised equipment.

Serhiy Ruchko, chair of the ASEU Committee on Energy Storage Installations, will moderate. The main address will be delivered by Volodymyr Kudritsky, co-founder of Nedgen LLC and former chairman of NEC Ukrenergo, after which attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions.

The agenda spans five areas:

  • how the introduction of 15-minute settlement intervals and integration with European electricity markets will affect BESS business-model economics;
  • the potential for developing full-scale virtual power plants within Ukraine’s energy system;
  • the outlook for residential solar installations once the green tariff ends;
  • practical experience from a specific 31.5 MW BESS project, covering comprehensive testing requirements, commercial metering, and interaction with regulatory authorities.

Those wishing to attend may register through the provided online form.
