Yesterday, October 25, the Eighth Ukrainian Gas Forum started its work to address the current issues of the Ukrainian gas market. The Forum brought together leading experts and business representatives for an in-depth discussion of key aspects of the Ukrainian gas market, reforms and transparency.
One of the key topics of the forum was the discussion on “Regulatory and market risks in energy supply”. The panelists also discussed the reform of the electricity market in the EU and its impact on Ukraine, mechanisms for limiting energy prices, and the availability of LNG in Eastern Europe. Implementation of REMIT in Ukraine in terms of market transparency. We considered the application of the plans of the EU, the European Energy Community and Ukraine on gas storage in UGS facilities.
