Solar panels installed on a reservoir in Switzerland

A floating solar power plant has been built in the Swiss Alps. Romande Energie installed solar farms on large platforms in the middle of the Lac des Toules reservoir.

The reservoir itself is located in the Alps at an altitude of about 1810 meters above sea level.

There are 35 platforms with photovoltaic panels on its surface. The total capacity of the SPP is 448 kW.

The company expects the investment in the project to pay off in a little over 2 years.
