Round table on biomethane production: UABIO has published materials

A discussion on biomethane production in Ukraine was held online on December 20, 2024. Recently, the Bioenergy Association of Ukraine published its materials on its website.

In particular, the following topics were discussed:

• Development of biomethane production in Ukraine. Problems and ways to solve them
• Information on biomethane projects launched in 2024. The first experience of Gals Agro
• First experience of biomethane plant operation: expectations and reality (VITAGRO ENERGY)
• Biomethane production and use in European countries according to the latest report of the European Biogas Association
• Potential of biomethane production in Ukraine, taking into account the structure and load of the gas transportation system
• Feasibility study for the construction of biomethane plants in Ukraine

The roundtable was organized within the framework of the project “Development of a business model for biomethane production in Ukraine”, which is being implemented under the Innovate Ukraine – Support to Ukraine’s Energy Recovery program by a consortium of companies from the UK (MDY Legal, Rika Biofuel Developments LTD) and Ukraine (Bioenergy Association of Ukraine, Regenerative Agro, SEC Biomass). The program is funded by UK International Development and organized by the British Embassy in Ukraine.
