The Cabinet of Ministers has amended the resolution on the construction and deployment of gas piston and gas turbine units, as well as generators for the period of martial law.

According to Ukrainian Energy, the Permanent Representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk, wrote about this on his telegram page.

“Amendments have been made to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 1320 dated 07.12.2023 ‘Some issues of construction and/or placement of gas piston and gas turbine plants, in particular cogeneration, block-modular boiler houses, diesel/gasoline and gas generators, for the period of martial law”, Taras Melnychuk said in the statement.

The relevant changes have been made to accelerate construction and commissioning of distributed generation facilities, including gas piston and gas turbine plants.

“This will improve energy security and reduce the shortage of generating capacities, ensuring energy independence of the regions and the country as a whole,” said the Permanent Representative of the Cabinet of Ministers to the Verkhovna Rada.

In addition, restrictions for operators of electricity, heat, gas, and water supply networks have been lifted, which will allow other business entities to connect gas piston and gas turbine units.
