
Ukrainian Bioenergy Delegation Begins Visit to Denmark
18.06.2025On June 17, a technical visit to Denmark began for a Ukrainian delegation organized with the participation of the Bioenergy Association of Ukraine (UABIO), a partner of the Global 100% RE Ukraine coalition. The visit focuses on bioenergy development and knowledge exchange with Danish partners and is supported by Impact Fund Denmark and the Embassy of the Kingdom of Denmark in Ukraine.
On the first day, the delegation took part in a professional seminar that brought together representatives of Ukrainian and Danish businesses, government institutions, and sectoral associations. Key discussion topics included:
- access to gas transmission infrastructure for biomethane producers;
- regulatory specifics and market prospects;
- financing of bioenergy projects;
- regional needs for renewable technologies in Ukraine;
- Denmark’s experience in biogas sector development.
The delegation includes representatives of companies and organizations that are members of the Bioenergy Association of Ukraine (UABIO), a partner of the Global 100% RE Ukraine coalition:

Speakers at the seminar included representatives of the NEURC, State Agency on Energy Efficiency, Naftogaz of Ukraine, State Agency for Restoration, Danish Energy Agency, Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine, EIFO, and several Danish energy companies and associations.
The visit program also includes site visits to bioenergy facilities in different regions of Denmark:
- June 18 — visits en route to Esbjerg
- June 19 — visits en route to Aarhus
