On June 25–26, 2025, Kyiv hosted one of the most significant events for the renewable energy sector in Central and Eastern Europe — CISOLAR 2025, the 14th International Solar Energy Conference and Trade Show.

This year, the Solar Energy Association of Ukraine (ASEU) proudly served as the general partner of the event, reaffirming its leadership within the Global 100% RE Ukraine initiative.

CISOLAR 2025
Key topics discussed:

Ukraine’s energy resilience and security,
Innovative technologies and digital transformation,
New investment models (net billing, green banking),
Legislative frameworks supporting the green energy transition.

Vladyslav Sokolovskyi, Chairman of ASEU, spoke during the opening panel “Ukraine’s Energy Resilience – Challenges, Legislation, Technologies”:
“Agrovoltaics, self-consumption solar power plants, and energy storage are not just technologies — they are real answers to energy security challenges. Legislative improvements, including VAT and customs duty exemptions, are making energy independence and cost reduction accessible for every business and community. The sun is already paying the bills!”

Ivan Balytskyi, Head of ASEU’s Legal Committee, moderated the session “Investing in Renewable Energy Projects”. The discussion covered:

Access to finance and the role of state banks,
Corporate sector involvement,
Emerging financial instruments and green banking.
“The adoption of the Green Transformation Law marks the end of fixed feed-in tariffs for industrial solar. Instead, we now have market-based mechanisms: net billing, self-consumption, wholesale market sales, and green auctions — opening the door to strategic capital.”

CISOLAR 2025
Yurii Favorskyi, ASEU Board Member, moderated the session “Technologies, Digital Energy, and Innovation”, focused on:

Smart metering and digital tools,
AI/ML forecasting and energy management,
Digitalization as a driver of transparency and efficiency.
“Digital energy is not the future — it’s a present-day necessity. Innovation is the key to creating agile, efficient, and transparent energy systems.”

Among the participants and exhibitors Solar Steelconstruction, Rayton, Energy Company of Ukraine (ECU), UWEA, UABIO and Avenston.

Other panels and discussions explored:
Renewable energy project implementation amid war and instability,
Energy storage innovations and autonomous energy systems,
Reconstruction of critical energy infrastructure.

We sincerely thank the organizers, participants, and partners for their commitment to action, high-level dialogue, and shared mission — advancing the principles of 100% renewable energy in Ukraine.
