“Guaranteed Buyer repays part of its debt to RES producers

On July 11, 2024, the State Enterprise Guaranteed Buyer made an additional payment to renewable energy producers for electricity in 2022 and 2023.

According to the company’s press service, a total of UAH 547.3 million was paid:

UAH 209.0 million was paid in October 2022, with the overall level of payment for this month being 87.3%;

UAH 124.5 million was paid in December 2022, with the overall payment rate for that month being 90.5%;

for May 2023, UAH 99.6 million was paid in addition, with the overall payment rate for this month being 82.3%;

UAH 46.7 million was paid in June 2023, with the overall payment rate for this month being 84.9%;

for October 2023, UAH 67.5 million was paid in addition, with the overall payment rate for this month being 84.2%.

The payment was made using funds received from NPC Urenergo as a partial payment for the service to ensure an increase in electricity production from alternative energy sources.

In addition, the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Energy, Housing and Utilities proposed to allocate NPC Ukrenergo’s funds from the sale of cross-border capacity in electricity import and export operations to repay debts on the balancing market and to the State Enterprise Guaranteed Buyer.

The company’s operational debt to Guaranteed Buyer, including growth, amounts to UAH 21.2 billion, and UAH 16.5 billion in the balancing market.
