Intersolar Europe 2025: Ukraine at Europe’s Leading Renewable Energy Platform
12.05.2025Intersolar Europe 2025 has concluded in Munich, once again reaffirming its status as a key event for exchanging ideas and building partnerships in the renewable energy sector.
This year, Ukraine’s solar energy industry was prominently represented by the Solar Energy Association of Ukraine (ASEU). The joint national booth, organized by ASEU and partners, brought together the Ukrainian professional community and served as a platform for engaging with international stakeholders.
Among the guests was the Chairman of the Board of Global 100% RE Ukraine, Oleksandr Dombrovskyi, who commented:
“I sincerely thank the Solar Energy Association of Ukraine for organizing the joint Ukrainian booth. This is more than just a presentation — it’s a powerful communication platform for dialogue with potential strategic partners.”
Key Topics at Intersolar Europe 2025:
— Energy Storage took center stage this year. Companies such as Hoymiles and GoodWe presented new solutions for commercial and residential use.
— Innovations in Solar Technology. Hanersun introduced new ground-mount modules and lightweight rooftop modules. Shanghai Electric showcased high-efficiency modules and electrolyzers for green hydrogen production.
— Recognition of Innovation. The winners of The smarter E AWARD 2025 were announced during the exhibition, including 7Secondsolar, LONGi Solar, and Weidmüller (photovoltaics category).
Industry Challenges
Major solar module manufacturers — including JA Solar, Trina Solar, LONGi, and JinkoSolar — reported financial losses in Q1 2025 due to overproduction and pricing pressure. Market participants anticipate consolidation, as smaller companies may not withstand the financial strain.
During the exhibition, Oleksandr Dombrovskyi also met with Hans-Josef Fell — Member of the German Bundestag and co-founder of the Green movement in Germany and Europe. They discussed prospects for cooperation and support for Ukraine’s renewable energy sector amid the ongoing war.
We thank all partners and participants for representing Ukraine on the global energy stage.
