Our partner, the Ukrainian Wind Energy Association (UWEA), has announced a new contract between two of its member companies — Elementum Energy and CEMARK — aimed at stabilizing electricity prices. This is another step in the development of financial instruments for the renewable energy sector in Ukraine.

As of 1 June 2025, a one-year corporate power purchase agreement (cPPA) has taken effect between the Dniester Wind Power Plant, operated by Elementum Energy, and one of the cement plants of the CEMARK group.

The agreement is based on a Contract for Difference (CfD) mechanism. The parties agreed on a price corridor, meaning that if the market price exceeds the upper limit, the producer compensates the consumer, and if it falls below the lower limit, the consumer compensates the producer.

This is the second such agreement signed by Elementum Energy and serves as an example of how CfD-based mechanisms — widely used across the EU — are beginning to enter the Ukrainian renewable energy market, supporting both generators and industrial consumers of green electricity.

UWEA welcomed the signing of this agreement as a practical example of cooperation between a renewable energy producer and a responsible industrial consumer.
