Huawei Ukraine and Ecotech Invest Launch One of Ukraine’s Largest Energy Storage Projects

Huawei Ukraine, a partner of the Association of Solar Energy of Ukraine (ASEU), and Ecotech Invest have signed a memorandum of strategic cooperation in the field of renewable energy. As part of this collaboration, they have announced the implementation of one of the largest energy storage projects in Ukraine.

The project in the Volyn region involves the construction of an energy storage system (ESS) with a capacity of 8.4 MW and a storage capacity of 10 MWh, utilizing the Huawei Smart String ESS LUNA2000 technology, one of the most advanced solutions available on the market.

Key components of the ESS include:

• 5 battery containers with 2 MWh capacity and air cooling;
• 42 inverters (PSC);
• A transformer substation with a capacity of 9 MW.

As part of the partnership, the following initiatives are also planned:

• Educational programs for industry professionals;
• Information campaigns to promote innovation;
• Support for Ukrainian businesses in adopting innovative energy solutions.

This project marks another significant step in the development of renewable energy and the strengthening of Ukraine’s energy security.
