The first solar power plant on the roof of condominiums was launched in Mykolaiv

Mykolaiv continues to develop its own distributed generation, both for various institutions and enterprises and for the housing stock. Recently, the first solar power plant was installed in one of the city’s condominiums.

According to the Mykolaiv City Council, the power plant has 30 kW of solar panels, 30 kW of hybrid inverter and 60 kW of batteries.

The sun’s energy powers the video surveillance system, intercom, lighting of the building and the surrounding area, as well as circulation pumps and burners at the building boiler house.

The solar power plant is installed on the roof of a condominium in the Pivdennyi neighborhood.

They decided to install the solar power plant in January this year. The co-owners of the condominium applied for participation in the Grindim program to the Energy Efficiency Fund. They were approved for a grant on February 12, 2025.

The total cost of equipment and works amounted to UAH 1,757,692. The compensation from the Energy Efficiency Fund amounted to UAH 1,150,000. In addition, residents received UAH 400 thousand in compensation under the Warm Mykolaiv program. Thus, thanks to the support of state and municipal programs, the cost of the SPP for the homeowners amounted to UAH 207,692, which is 12% of the total project cost.
