The national energy regulator NEURC has set the tariff for electricity transmission for NPC Ukrenergo at UAH 686.23/MWh (excluding VAT) from 1 January 2025.

According to Energoreforma, the relevant decision was made at the NEURC meeting on 19 December.

The new transmission tariff is 29.8% higher than the current one in 2024 (UAH 528.57/MWh).

In addition, the energy regulator has set the electricity transmission tariff for renewable energy at UAH 359.55/MWh, which is 1.4% lower than the current tariff (currently UAH 364.7/MWh).

The dispatching tariff for 2025 is set at 98.97 UAH/MWh, which is almost 5.5% lower than the current year’s tariff (104.7 UAH/MWh).

The costs of fulfilling the special obligations of the NPC to pay for ‘green’ electricity, which account for the largest share in the tariff, are set at UAH 32.2 billion, of which UAH 25.1 billion is allocated to support industrial RES generation and UAH 6.98 billion to support residential PV. In 2024, these figures were UAH 12.3 billion and UAH 3.93 billion, respectively.

The volume of transmission is 98.65 million MWh. In total, Ukrenergo’s expenses are set at UAH 67.56 billion.

According to Energoreforma, the tariff was supported by the head of the UWEA Andriy Konechenkov, the head of the ASEU Vladyslav Sokolovskyi and the head of the EUEA Anastasiia Vereshchynska.

‘The UWEA expresses its gratitude to NEURC for processing and taking into account the Association’s proposals on the sufficiency of costs for ensuring the payment of PSO settlements with RES, as well as supporting the investment attractiveness of the wind energy market and RES in general,’ the Ukrainian Wind Energy Association said.
