

USAID terminates $75 million agreement with the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine
13.03.2025The US Agency for International Development USAID has terminated a $75 million grant agreement with the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine.
According to Energoreforma, this was announced on March 12 by the Energy Community Secretariat, which is the administrator of the fund.
USAID informed the Energy Community Secretariat about the termination of the agreement on February 27, 2025.
The Secretariat is currently awaiting additional clarification from USAID.
The $25 million agreement for the purchase of critical power generation and heating equipment was signed in 2023, and in 2024 USAID promised to provide the Fund with an additional $50 million.
The Ukraine Energy Support Fund was established in April 2022. As of early March, the announced contributions of partners to the Fund exceeded €1 billion.
