Can a community modernize its energy infrastructure without major expenses from its own budget?

The Global 100 RE Ukraine website has published an article about the creation of a new investment ESCO platform called Emerge Energy, launched by Panorama and Emerge Impact. Its goal is to combine private capital, technical expertise, and prepared energy projects from Ukrainian communities.

In the new 100GREEN Talks, Vitalii Shevchenko, Head of the Association of Energy Service Companies, explains how the ESCO model can help communities attract private investment in energy efficiency, distributed generation, and energy storage systems.

The logic is simple: a community does not necessarily have to finance the entire project out of its own pocket right away. A private partner can invest in its implementation, and the invested funds are repaid through the savings generated by the modernization.

This model can be especially promising for facilities with continuous energy consumption, such as hospitals, water utilities, educational institutions, and other critical infrastructure. Solar generation, storage systems, and energy efficiency solutions here can simultaneously reduce costs and strengthen the community’s energy resilience.

Watch the new 100GREEN Talks to learn how to transition from isolated ESCO projects to the systematic attraction of private capital into community energy sectors.
