Global investment fund Actis has completed the purchase of a 112 MW / 518 MWh battery storage project in Kozienice, Poland, from DTEK Renewable International, and has separately signed a conditional agreement to acquire a second facility in Trzebinia. Actis announced both transactions on October 6, 2026, roughly three months after its Polish platform launched.

The Kozienice site is construction-ready and has formally changed hands. The Trzebinia asset — rated at 132 MW / 623 MWh — remains subject to conditions tied to commissioning and will close once the facility enters operation. Combined, the two projects represent 244 MW of capacity and 1,141 MWh of storage, with discharge durations exceeding four hours. Actis says they are positioned to be among Poland’s first utility-scale battery systems to reach commercial operation.

Both projects hold 17-year contracts under Poland’s capacity market, with inflation indexation built into their terms. Yaroslava Korpanets of Actis said the assets would supply critical flexibility to the country’s power grid as its energy mix continues to shift.

The transactions move Actis closer to its 1.5 GW target in Poland. In July 2026, the fund signed an agreement to take over Klara Renewables, an onshore wind developer with 171 MW in its portfolio and around 275 MW of hybridization upside. Across three energy platforms spanning Central and Eastern Europe, Actis has now committed over $1.1 billion in total.
