A cross-sector gathering of government, financial, and energy stakeholders will convene in Kyiv on 5 November 2026 for the first annual UAVE forum “Ukraine Renewable Energy Agenda 2027.” The event will be held in a shelter, with support from national energy company NEC Ukrenergo.

Expected participants include representatives from the government, the Verkhovna Rada, the National Bank, Ukrainian commercial banks, the EBRD, the EIB, and the EU Representation in Ukraine. Organizers aim to seat banks, authorities, and investors at a common table; no specific agreements exist yet, with the intended outcome being a joint Declaration on scaling private renewable energy investment in 2027.

The program spans an official opening, three thematic panels on policy, investment, and insurance and risk, and a closing session. Discussion will focus on four concrete questions: which renewable energy and energy storage projects financial institutions are willing to back in 2027; how grid-connection rules for new facilities will change; how war-risk insurance mechanisms can be made real and accessible for Ukrainian energy projects; and what makes a Ukrainian energy project attractive and understandable to international private investors.

The Declaration expected to emerge from the forum will formally consolidate the sector’s priority steps. Key priorities include predictable regulation, transparent grid access for companies, and clear market conditions for energy storage installations.
