Epicenter seeks €55.3 million for 75 MW of solar capacity

Epicenter Group has applied to several banks, hoping to receive funds to implement the second phase of the project to provide its facilities with their own green energy.

The project consists of three stages. In the first, in 2023-2024, the company installed 170 thousand square meters of solar panels with a total capacity of 7.5 MW on the roofs of its facilities. It was done at the company’s own expense and cost EUR 1.2 million.

The total cost of the second stage, where 1.3 million square meters of solar panels are to be installed, is EUR 55.3 million.

The third stage is scheduled to be realized by 2030 and will be implemented at facilities in the southern and eastern regions of the country. It is planned to install a 26 MW solar power plant worth EUR 12.9 million on 360 thousand square meters.

Currently, Epicenter Group consumes 276 million kWh of electricity per year.
