The US invests $800 million in a solar panel superfactory
30.10.2024The United States of America wants to create its own large-scale solar panel production facilities.
According toFocus, citing ecoticias.com, DYCM Power intends to build a giant solar panel plant. The cost of the project is $800 million.
The DYCM Power plant will use tunneled oxide passivated contact (TOPCon) technology to create solar cells and assemble them into modules, which will provide increased efficiency.
The company has already entered into agreements with leading US polysilicon and glass manufacturers and plans to supply products starting in 2026.
By utilizing advanced technologies and establishing tactical cooperation, companies like DYCM Power are striving to make the United States a leader in solar energy production while increasing the country’s energy security. The fact is that the photovoltaic market is captured by Chinese solar panel manufacturers. Therefore, the US decided to push out Chinese manufacturers by offering customers its own products.
