In times of war, the resilience of small and micro-businesses is not only about preserving jobs — it’s also about ensuring the energy security of communities.

The Energy Resilience Support Program, implemented under ReACT4UA with funding from the Governments of Germany and Norway and in partnership with the Entrepreneurship Development Fund, has become a prime example of effective international cooperation. In just seven months, more than 140 businesses across Ukraine received grants to install solar power plants, energy storage systems, and backup equipment.

Importantly, 71% of the support went to companies in frontline and the most war-affected regions — from Dnipropetrovsk and Sumy to Zaporizhzhia and Mykolaiv. These investments help businesses operate steadily even during blackouts, reduce operating costs, and create new jobs.

Global 100% RE Ukraine highly values such programs: they strengthen energy independence, expand the use of renewable energy sources, and build trust in clean energy among entrepreneurs.

Each installed solar panel is a step toward a stable economy and an energy future in which even the smallest companies play a strategic role.
