Ukrainian Solar and Construction Bodies to Host Webinar on Energy Independence for Developers
The Ukrainian Solar Energy Association (ASEU) and the Confederation of Builders have jointly announced a webinar aimed at helping developers and business representatives cut electricity costs and strengthen energy independence through on-site solar generation. The online event is scheduled for 8 September 2026 at 14:00 on Zoom.
The programme is divided into two parts. In the first, Ivan Balytsky, chair of ASEU’s legal committee, will walk through the legal tools available for self-consumption and self-generation, and outline how developers, residential complexes, and industrial enterprises can each pursue “active consumer” status. He will also cover revenue options including support auctions, the wholesale electricity market, and sales via traders and aggregators.
The second session shifts to engineering. Oleksiy Shyshkanov of Dolya Solar Energy will explain how to calculate the right plant capacity for a given consumption profile, the specifics of connecting solar equipment to both internal building networks and external grids, and how integrating a solar plant into a new construction project can serve as a competitive differentiator for buyers and investors.
Organisers say participants will leave with practical guidance on both the regulatory and technical steps needed to implement solar solutions that improve the energy independence of their projects.
