In early August, a public test of an autonomous power plant capable of generating energy using photovoltaic panels and wind turbines took place near the village of Mezhyhirya in Khust district.

According to Ukrainian Energy, the site for the presentation was not chosen by chance – this area, between Borzhava and the southwestern part of the Carpathians, is considered promising for the development of “green” generation.

The presentation featured the most compact station in the line of charging and generating power plants – MASWES™-1/10 based on a 10-foot shipping container.

The mini-power plant has a nominal capacity of 20.5 kW, and the cost of the entire complex is about 58 thousand euros excluding VAT.

The complex can operate anywhere with sufficient wind and sun and supply electricity to electric vehicles and other consumers.

Despite light rain, two electric cars were charged on site. According to the organizers, during the first test in June 2024, two electric vehicles were also charged simultaneously with a charging capacity of 7 kW each, and in the absence of wind.
