BIOMETHAVERSE project: Ukraine and Europe – to produce more, faster and cheaper biogas
18.09.2024The #100GREEN channel has published the second video in a series of interviews about the #BIOMETHAVERSE, a pan-European biogas research collaboration supported by the European Commission.
Oleksandr Dombrovsky, President of MHP Eco Energy, Chairman of Global 100% RE Ukraine, together with Dmytro Vasyliev, co-founder and host of the channel, President of RADA, talk about why the development of green technologies is important, the role of green biomethane and distributed energy in energy sustainability, as well as MHP Eco Energy’s participation in the BIOMETHAVERSE research consortium and the advantages of biological biogas enrichment over electrolysis.

About BIOMETHAVERSE
BIOMETHAVERSE is a large bioenergy research consortium. For five years, 22 participants from 9 European countries will be looking for innovative ways to produce biomethane. Demonstration sites have been set up in five countries – France, Greece, Italy, Sweden, and Ukraine – to present the results in practice.
Ukraine is developing a special project that will allow the production of green methane at existing biogas complexes cheaper than using classical technology. The team has four members: Bioenergy Association of Ukraine, MHP Eco Energy (Ukraine), Ellmann Engineering (Germany), and Deutsches Biomasseforschungszentrum (Germany).
