DTEK will invest €140 million in energy storage facilities with a total capacity of 200 MW to help build a safe and green energy system.

According to the company’s press service, several facilities will be built geographically distributed across Ukraine. The batteries will be commissioned no later than September 2025 and will start providing ancillary services to NPC Ukrenergo.

The company reminds that on August 22, DTEK Group, together with other energy industry players, won a competitive auction held by NPC Ukrenergo for the provision of ancillary services.

This opens up opportunities for the development of the energy storage market and the construction of new balancing capacities.

Energy storage facilities are a strategic area of development for DTEK Group.
