Kalinivska Community Prepares for Winter with Generators, Inverters and a New Solar Plant
The Kalinivska community in Kyiv Oblast has received a package of backup power equipment ahead of the autumn-winter period, combining generators, inverter systems and a containerised solar installation at a critical infrastructure site.
According to the Kyiv Oblast Military Administration, generators were distributed to schools, kindergartens, extracurricular centres, ambulatories, rural medical posts (FAPs) and housing utility companies, while inverter systems were installed at a lyceum, a gymnasium and a CNAP administrative services centre.
The breakdown by sector:
- Education: generators ranging from 2.8 kW to nearly 120 kW. The lyceum’s inverter installation also supplies the on-site kitchen; both the lyceum and the gymnasium double as community shelters and “points of invincibility.”
- Healthcare and administrative services: ambulatories and FAPs received generators in the 5.5–7.5 kW range, with fuel reserves included; the CNAP centre was fitted with inverter equipment.
- Utilities: housing and communal enterprises are supported with diesel generators.
A 106 kW containerised solar plant has been installed at one critical infrastructure facility but is not yet operational — connection and commissioning work is still under way, with no launch date announced.
Taken together, the measures are intended to keep essential community services running through potential outages during the coming heating season.
