Guaranteed Buyer has announced the first “green” auction of the year. Solar quotas will be distributed

SE Guaranteed Buyer will hold the first auction this year to allocate a quota for supporting new capacity from alternative sources.

33 MW of solar power plants will be allocated. The auction is scheduled for March 13.

According to the Guaranteed Buyer’s website, applications are accepted until March 12 inclusive. The auction will be held with a price reduction. The maximum price offer of a participant is 8 euro cents/1 kWh. The support period is 12 years.

According to the auction requirements, SPPs can be located on the left bank of the Dnipro River, except for the territories of active hostilities or occupied by the Russian Federation.

The auction will be held in the electronic trading system of Prozorro.Sale JSC using the services of the following authorized electronic platforms:

• National Electronic Exchange,
• Bukovinian Universal Exchange,
• Ukrainian Energy Exchange,
• Ukrainian Universal Exchange,
• Smarttender LLC.

Earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the schedule of “green” auctions for 2025. Auctions for 100 MW of wind farms are to be held in April 2025, and for another 150 MW of wind farms in July. The auction for the distribution of support quotas for 47 MW of other types of RES (small hydropower, bioenergy) is to be held in May.
