Owners of solar panels, wind turbines or batteries will be able to continue receiving housing subsidies if the cost of the equipment does not exceed UAH 150 thousand.
This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

“We understand that the winter will be difficult, so we encourage citizens to be energy resilient in every possible way. In particular, to install alternative sources of power and generation: solar panels, wind turbines, and energy storage. At the same time, people should not lose their right to a housing subsidy,” the Prime Minister said.

In addition, on November 5, the Cabinet of Ministers instructed the Ministry of Social Policy to develop and submit a relevant draft decision to the Government. It should be based on the following rule: if the cost of installed energy equipment does not exceed UAH 150 thousand, the subsidy for the family is preserved.

Also, the Ministry of Social Policy should develop a mechanism by which the amount of the subsidy for electricity will not be reduced even in the event of power outages.
