On March 6-8, the European Hydrogen Energy Conference (EHEC), one of the most prominent international events in the hydrogen industry, took place in Bilbao. At the invitation of the Spanish Hydrogen Association, the Ukrainian Hydrogen Council took part in a parallel session entitled “Challenges and opportunities in the hydrogen sector in Europe and Latin America”.

As noted by Polina Kazakevych, President of the Ukrainian Hydrogen Council, international cooperation is a key element for the successful development of hydrogen energy and the realization of common goals on the path of green transition. That is why the development of relations with foreign partners and representation of Ukraine on such respected platforms is an integral part of promoting the country’s energy agenda and the work of the Association.

At the event, the Ukrainian Hydrogen Council was represented by Board Member Oleksandr Repkin. He noted that despite the challenges posed by the war with Russia, Ukraine continues to confidently move forward towards a hydrogen future. In particular, he shared the developments in the preparation of the National Hydrogen Strategy and what hydrogen initiatives and projects are being developed in Ukraine.
